Minnesota United FC announced that it will host the Ottawa Fury in a North American Soccer League (NASL) match following the Guinness International Champions Cup match between Manchester City and Olympiacos at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 2.

Kickoff for the match between the two European clubs, which will be broadcast internationally on Fox Sports 2, is set for 2 p.m. CDT, while Minnesota United will kick off their match at 4:30 p.m. CDT. Minnesota’s match will be televised live on KSTC45-TV.

“On August 2nd, fans at TCF Bank Stadium will witness one of the greatest professional soccer events in Minnesota history,” said United President Nick Rogers. “We are thrilled to partner with Relevent Sports to produce this great event. This is going to be a great day for soccer in Minnesota.”

This announcement arrives as great news for current Minnesota United season ticket holders, as they will be given one complimentary ticket (per season ticket) to the Guinness International Champions Cup match. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early, as they will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, Minnesota United account executives will be selling tickets to the Manchester City vs. Olympiacos match, including a discount for groups.

For ticket information, fans can call 763.4SOCCER or purchase tickets online at the Minnesota United FC website.

Fans who purchase 2014 Minnesota United season tickets prior to the Guinness International Champions Cup match will also receive a complimentary ticket to the Man City vs. Olympiacos contest. These are being sold in a very limited quantity.
"With a great local fan base, Minnesota United was a natural choice to partner with for the match,” said Relevent Sports President and CEO Charlie Stillitano.  “We are confident that the newly added match featuring Minnesota United will help make this event even better.”
This epic soccer event will mark the first time professional soccer will be played at TCF Bank Stadium since its opening in 2009.
